Dual Diploma Programme

Introduction

This 8 month programme of study is designed specifically to train potential teachers, parents and caregivers to identify, detect and support children with special needs. Students will receive another award; Diploma in Child Care Management upon completion.

With the realisation that early child education plays a crucial role in the development of a child, a standard curriculum for early education and development programmes needed to be implemented. In order to do this, childcare providers have to be trained to facilitate a child's physical, socialemotional and cognitive development.

This program will help leaners to gain knowledge of the key theories and stages of child development, and the characteristics of various disabilities. Identify specific disabilities and understand the diagnosis and assessment of individual weaknesses. Acquire a strong foundation in speech and language development, child psychology, abnormal psychology and counselling.

This program will help students to learn the best practices in managing the human resources of early learning settings and enhancing communication with staff and families to shape positive outcomes. You will gain skills in mentoring and leading staff and learn what the role of a director entails, including financial management, policy development and staff supervision.

Take a deeper dive into the fundamentals of early learning. Developed for busy educators, this program will have you learning online, maintaining virtual contact with instructors and other students. Study at your own pace and continue to work while taking this program by distance.

Eligibility

Candidates should be 18 years of age or possess a minimum of high school completion certificate.
